The first 16 episodes of "Space Ghost Coast to Coast" are now available on a DVD!

So who's your favorite SGCTC character? Mine is Moltar.

Col. Bruce Hampton does the voice of one of the characters on Space Ghost, but although I've watched many episodes I've not yet caught one with him in it. It's supposed to be some sort of mentor for Space Ghost and I believe his name is Bush. Can you enlighten me?

Doesn't ring a bell, but it may be on the later episodes, which I haven't seen.

New episodes will begin airing on Cartoon Network this Sunday, I read...11:30 p.m. ET. Maybe Bruce is in the new series.

Is Brak on SGCTC? I always liked Brak...he's kinda stupid, but in an innocent kind of way.

Space Ghost is brilliant! It's like Letterman broadcasting from outer space. Zorak is the bandleader, Moltar is the cameraman. Brak is on sometimes...and in fact, I see that Brak has his own show on the Cartoon Network. Go to the site and search for "adult swim"...

They took the video from an old Hanna Barbera cartoon called "Space Ghost and Dino Boy," chopped it up and reassembled it into "Space Ghost Coast to Coast"...so the visual part is a combination of old and new, and all the voices are dubbed. Plus the guests are real people...check here: http://snard.com/sg/guide/

According to that link (to the episode guide), the fourth show is called "Idlewild South" and a fifth is called "One Way Out"!

Maybe a "Space Ghost" theme will kick off the next tour instead of 'Sopranos" or 'The Wire'.

WHOA! This is totally wild! I always watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force and breeze through Space Ghost while surfing on the net. I will have to check the rerun at 2:30 am EST.

I believe the Col. did a voice on SG but it has been years ago. I also think he was only on one episode or so.

Thanks for the SG/ABB link! I am curious as to how the show will actually reference to the titles.

I like Zorak, personally. I haven't seen much of Space Ghost lately, but in general I think the episode titles have nothing at all to do with the episodes. So I wouldn't expect any ABB mentions, but I guess you never know.

You are right since I just watched it.

Yeah, I was right. But it got me to watch the show for the first time in a while, which is definitely good. And it was really cool seeing the words "Whipping Post" flash on screen at the end.

A second ARU connection -- Sean O'Rourke did some music for Space Ghost too. Sean is/was ARU's last drummer, who appears on the latest ARU release "The Calling," available here at HTW with ARU. Sean also played in an earlier incarnation of Oteil's Peacemakers.

Here's an email I just received from my friend Tom, who used to edit Space Ghost, back in the beginning:

"Yes, Hampton played the role of a burning bush in a cave IIRC in an episode from about '99. See http://snard.com/sg/guide/?ep=62&fmt=2 [transcript]

"There are to be 5 or so new SG shows in this run, beginning last night. All have Allman Bros song titles. No reason other than the Sr Producer is a big AB fan.

"Show next Sunday is w/ Wm Shatner and is NOT TO BE MISSED.

"The SCG2C ep to air Sunday the 14 will be mine, like old times. I start on it tomorrow. Jeff Probst (host of lame reality TV's "Survivor"pgm) is the guest, but generally SG just drinks tall boys the whole show till he pukes to death and ascends to heaven. Does this count as too much information?"

Mystery solved.
