Greetings from Lakaland, FL! I'm gonna catch 6 games in the next 10 days. Tigers vs Philles, National, Mets (twice), Orioles, and Cardinals. Went by Marchant Stadium when I got into town this afternoon and scoped out my seats for each game, concessions, restrooms, and souvenir shops. My strategy is in place and I'm ready to go starting at 1:05 tomorrow!

Would love to make it down there but will settle for going down to Detroit on opening day again this year. Go into the game not a chance just being down there is plenty of fun

You never know. Just like concerts sometimes you can score tickets cheap at the last minute. I've gone down there before planning to just hang at the Elwood and ended up getting upper reserved for about half of face value. But like you say, just being down there on opening day is a blast even if you don't get inside.

Going to the White Sux Opening Day vs the Tiggers here in Chitown. I shall wear my Tiggers regalia and boxing gloves to deal with the Sux fans.

Lee, I thought for sure you'd identify 1 or 2 people in that picture.

Yesterday I noticed a big World Series ring on the guy sitting next to me. Turns out it was Tom Niedenfuer, a RHP with the '81 Dodgers. He's probably better known as the husband of Judy Landers.

The guy in the red & white stripes is Dave Dombrowski, President, CEO and General Manager of the Tigers. The guy in front of him (blue shirt, no hat) is Al Avila, Tigers Asst. GM and father of Alex Avila. Not sure who the guy in the white shirt is but he seemed to be with them.

Perhaps the Tiger's grand plan has some flaws?

Not a flaw. The Tigers are so tough they'll use their faces to stop a ball from getting past them.

Just got home from 2 weeks of Tigers spring training and they look great! I expect they'll win the division handily and hopefully do better than last year in the playoffs.

Spent last night in Macon and had breakfast at the H&H before coming on home today. Had a little taste of bike week in Daytona, spring break in Clearwater Beach, lots of baseball, and fun with 2 grandsons who live in Tampa. What a great trip! Now I'm gonna take a nap.

I grew up in a tough neighborhood in Queens; and often used the same method (beating the crap out of someone's fist with my face) to prematurely end fights.

You may be right, but I think Justin V may not like winning 8-5 as much as winning 2-1

In high school, I took a ball in the nuts (is that redundant?) in a league championship game. It hurts thinking about it and I still refused to wear a cup.

Not too smart for a first baseman.
