Tigers score 7 runs in the 10th to beat Oakland 8-4. Detroit has a 4 game win streak going. Watch out!

I went to the Asheville Tourists vs. Lexington Legends game (South Atlantic League).

Lexington 18 runs 20 hits 2 errors
Asheville 9 runs 13 hits 3 errors

It was a crazy game on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

I'd like to go back tonight. Jake Peavey is pitching for the Barons vs. Mississippi.

Any day the Rays lose its a good day!

And OMG what a butt ugly "stadium"

VERY narrow halls too. Its a good thing thier attendance is poor, or that could get ugly

Funny story though. I was in the concession line and the dude working there was messing with the girl in front of me who was inTwins gear. Something about charging her double
Her reply was " but who has more World Series titles?".
Me in my Yankee gear said " WE DO"

I may be bias, but I have yet to see a new stadium compare to my Camden yards. I haven't been to all of them yet, but by photos and accounts from people, we are still right up there.
...now if I can only get my team back into contention.
What happened to the plan to split up the divisions? i would love to get away from the evil empires that reside in my division

I agree about Camden Yards. Baltimore started the movement towards constructing more traditional outdoor stadiums to replace the sanitary looking white round and often domed travesties that were built in the 60's and 70's. Many cities now have fantastic stadiums as a result.

We're right on your heels Wharf dude.
Sorry you got caught up in that traffic jam, man. It don't take much to turn the Interstate into a parking lot around here.

Tigers should get back to .500 tonight in Seattle. Phil Coke on the mound and hes looked good so far starting. Now the offense needs to be more consistent

Looking over some stats, noticed that Braves pitchers have yet to collect a base hit through the first 17 games. Thats 0-for-29 with 16 K's if you're keeping score at home...

Just when you think you have them figured out....

Tigers lose to Seattle 13-3. Coke lasts 3 2/3 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 walks.

It doesn't look like Joe Mauer has too much more catching left in him -- on the DL for "bilateral leg weakness" -- Justin M too, out 3 straight games w/flu-like symptoms, according to the report -- maybe they'll get 300 or so at-bats from Justin this year -- you know it's a beeline to the DL if it's so much as too bright a day -- that tends to affect concussions

"bilateral leg weakness" -- it shows how far medicine has progressed in baseball -- trying to be positive -- "flu-like symptoms" -- aka a touch of a cold in the real world, but it's brought down many a ballplayer

again, two great ballplayers -- hopefully not getting over the hill prematurely

Go Sox -- we'll be fine

Nobody came though -- attendance listed at 10G -- still, good to see two anonymous teams off to a good start -- would've been higher if it was a weekend

Go Sox -- road warriors
