Injury bug hitting the Phils early. I'd rather it be now instead of August.

Worried about Utley. He sounds really sketched out by surgery.
Lidge just can't seem to stay healthy. Sore shoulder, not good.
Polanoc hyperextended the elbow he just got surgery on.

The 4 aces are going to have to carry the load.

I do believe Verlander will be kicking some Yankee a$$ today. The weather should help Detroit, as only real men can play in the cold and wet.

Anyone else here score games? I usually get my scorebook out for 20-30 games per year. Can't do it today because I probably won't be able to watch until the 3rd inning or so.

Looks pretty iffy to even get the game in today, unfortunately.

Regarding scoring games, I almost always do so in person. Other than a few times scoring all-star games as I kid I have never scored a TV game.

I score quite a few TV games, sometimes only for 5 or 6 innings. I score in person at the Asheville Tourists minor league games. There is a section behind the home dugout where probably 8 or 10 old men (me included) sit with our scorebooks and argue about the game.

Now that's what the hell I'm talking about after stranding bases loaded runners all damn day long - a come-from-behind two-out walk off opposite field three-run homer in the bottom of the 9th to win Opening Day game in the Home Of Professional Baseball in Cincinnati, which is why Opening Day is always a home game in Cincy! Last year's attitude is still there. And this, of course, after the 92nd Opening Day Parade and our beloved Big Red Machine-managing Sparky Anderson being honored after his passing with the Hit King in the stands watching on, and Joey Votto getting his NLMVP award to boot. It's been a good day!

The missing Cobra was found in the Bronx Zoo. I could have sworn it would have been found with the rest of the snakes at FENWAY PARK!!!!
