OK, so, I was just poking around the Royals website anyway. No matter how much they suck, they're still my team and they'll always be my team, lose or lose.

The 2012 All-Star Game is in KC. Was just reading about the tickets for that event and came across this...myself and a buddy of mine are thinking of working out buying two season tickets next year to have a shot at getting into the All-Star Game...

quote:
Tickets for the 2012 All-Star Week events are required to be sold in full strips only. A strip consists of All-Star related events on Sunday and Monday, the All-Star Game on Tuesday and two All-Star FanFest tickets at the Kansas City Convention Center for every one full season seat. There is no exception to this policy.

I'm melting.

Unfortunate news about Cabrera, just glad he didn't hurt himself or anyone else (or worse)...so much talent, such a waste.

Feel the same way about the Phillies. Easy to say now, not so easy in the '90s.

Exactly.
The Yanks hit some pretty lean years in the late 80's early 90's..( Mell Hall anyone? )

I was still there with them through it all.. And it was ALOT easier to get tickets

I've been an Astros fan since the 60's and have always stuck by them. Some really lean years, a ton of 81 win seasons, some great playoff series (like vs. the Phils in '80) ending up on the short end, lots of good players, and the one WS which we lost. The key is getting off to a good start, which we always have trouble doing. Hopefully this year we can start at 14-3 instead of the other way around.

I sspent my entire 54 years waiting for the Giants to win a pennant; have pateince my friends.

This included endless nights listening to the radio till 2 AM with my dad. Eventually it's worth it

I hear you, emr. Many of those years with good ballclubs trapped behind the Reds and the Dodgers in the old NL West.

And before the playoff system began; it was always Koufax (Dodgers) and gibson (Cardianals) winning. Juan Marichal has to be the best pitcher never to win the Cy Young Award

so, this is the mansion that cost the yankees a world title according to hank steingrabber!
Now all we need is a tv commercial like the credit card one jeter did with the boss some years back when george accussed Derek of staying out to late at night!
That was classic

Go O's!!

Today's game was just a sign of things to come.

It's all about staying healthy. Baseball on HD is heaven.

Hope you'll be down here to watch the Phils spank the Yanks!

Sad news to hear of Duke Snider's passing. My brother-in-law is named Duke as my father-in-law's favorite player was Duke Snider.

If you enjoy reading, check out Duke's autobiograhpy. I believe the title is "They Call Me The Duke".
