I think it should be titled "Tiggers win in 2011".

I plan on it..

If we can get tix that is

We'll get something dude but the demand for tix is ridiculous. For the 2nd year in a row they've had to stop selling season ticket plans and there is actually a waiting list.

I wonder if they regret building a 43,000 seat ballpark. The Vet held 60,000.

The Vet was a pit. It kept people from coming to games.

With fewer seats that helps create a demand. People think they can't wait until later so they buy tickets now. It's a self fulfilling perception of demand.

That and they've had a great team for the past few years.

I like the small confines. You definitely feel closer and the vibe is great.
The food is amazing too. It's tough to beat a wiz wit with some long hots and the roast pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe is just sick. That's just about a perfect sandwich.

Yanks OWN Beckett now.
Lackey is overrated.

Hope this helps

.. But I will admit that (on paper) they have a far better rotation then the Yanks.

Time will tell

I dont

And is not.

Actually, they BOTH better kick ass this year. They are on one of my fantasy teams.
I dropped Jeter and kept Cabrera at the end of last season

Ya wanna know why it doesn't even bother me anymore when people make fun of the Royals?

Because it's so easy to do. It's like a waste of time. It's a given.

What, with this pitching...

2011 Projected Royals Starting Rotation Pitcher/ERA
1 - Luke Hochevar/4.98
2 - Kyle Davies/4.96
3 - Vin Mazzaro/4.71
4 - Jeff Francis/4.27
5 - Bruce Chen/4.91
6 - Sean O'Sullivan/5.29

Projected Starting Linueup
1 - Alcides Escobar - SS
2 - Mike Aviles - 3B
3 - Billy Butler - 1B
4 - Kila Ka'aihue - DH
5 - Jeff Francoeur - OF
6 - Alex Gordon - OF
7 - Chris Getz - 2B
8 - Lorenzo Cain - OF
9 - Brayan Pena - C

When an organization keeps saying "oh, but, we're rebuilding," it's a giant steaming pile of BS. That is nothing but a cheap marketing ploy to coax patience out of the fanbase to try and get them to buy more tickets.

Someone please try and tell me the Royals won't lose 120 games this year. I'm guessing there won't be anyone out there that will do that!

Time to contract MLB, IMO. This is stupid. Let the 8 or 10 supergiantmoney teams play in their own damn league.

Cabrera will probably be in rehab so might miss spring training. Who knows when he will be ready to play? Who the hell takes a swig out of a bottle in front of a cop?

Hawk, its funny you mention the Royals because that is the clip that MLB was showing this morning.
They also said that KC has by far the best farm system in the MLB.
Guess that wont help them in 2011 though

When did they move Gordon to the OF?? Not too long ago they were billing him as the second coming of Brett

And it shows ya how far Melky has fallen.. he cant even start in KC.. Wow.

I also heard that KC has stockplied a wealth of prospects. They also have money if they will part with it. Related to the Pujols drama, I read that KC might actually be a possible location that he would be willing to go to.

Oh, that best farm system line gets played a lot around here.

Thing is, apparently David Glass, our King Walmart owner, wants us to forget that guys like Johnny Damon, Carlos Beltran and Zack Grienke played here and he was too effing cheap to keep them.

Ixnay. The owner kiboshed that one. "I don't see a scenario where we would ever pay any player a contract of that size."
