Grrrrrrrr

Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel.. What? Tim Leary wasnt available??
WTF Cashman!

It's a minor league contract,. which just amounts to a spring training invite.
If it were a major league contract, then I can see you getting pissed.
he'll never see the new Yankee Stadium without a ticket

I am just concerned about him taking innings away from someone who can actually zDO the job.
Probably wont happen, but still.

I guess I am still bitter over the guy. He used to KILL the Yanks when he was in his prime

You are bitter about all the Yankees.

Are you starring in the next version of Grumpy Old Men?

So I'm going to be in Boston over the course of a week in April for the national urban planning conference. Turns out the Yankees will be in town the same week - a happy coincidence

I've been checking to see when tickets go on sale for this series. The Red Sox website isn't saying when - all I know is that they are NOT on sale yet. For shizz and giggles I went to stub hub and see hundreds of tickets for sale for this series. WTF?

Most likely season ticket holders. The Yanks have been selling Seasons and packages for a few weeks now, bu still have not sold tix for individual games.

And just a heads up - I am assuming the Sox do it like everyone else. You might have a problem buying ONE game. Most teams only put these in packages

Tix for this April Yanks series were put on sale a month or so ago as part of a whole bunch of different 4-game packages (I'll be there on Sat as part of the "Padres Pack" which also includes a game against the Padres in June, as well as a game in Aug and another in Sept). Some single games went on sale this past weekend, bit sure if this was among them or not.

Oh, and by the way, Andy Pettitte is hanging 'em up.

I found on the Red Sox website today standing room only packages which include that series. Is that Padres Package standing room only?

Check your PMs, Gondi...

Oh man, I just found those 4 game packages on the Red Sox website. All sold out.

I'm going to spring for one of those 3 game standing room only packages...

PM sent.

I bought the day the went on sale in Dec. Still, by the time I got in all I could get were right field bleechers (which I don't mind, but I was prepared to spring for something other than the "cheap" seats)

It's SRO, but I could hardly care. Can't wait to step inside this beautiful ballpark.

Scott, we'll talk later about getting together before the game. Man, this will be awesome!

Well, it was going to happen sooner or later. I wonder if it has anything to do with him testifying against Clemens this summer...he probably didn't want that being a distraction for the team, so he decided to retire. Who knows...

I was thinking of that. He hates the spotlight as it is, so I think this played a big role in him leaving.
But at least he goes out on his terms.
