I wonder if Girardi is regretting putting Hughes in as the #2. ALOT of pressure on him tommorow.

I am convinced that if the Yanks are down 1-2 or (shudder) 0-3..we will see CC, and not AJ.

Smart man. 5-5 in the 8th third base nobody out.

6-5 Yanks. Incredible inning. And yet we've seen it so many times. Now let's see if the Yankee bullpen can prove to be the difference and the Yankees survive an abysmal outing by their ace.

Open the door like the Rangers pen did, like walking a few hitters or maybe a defensive mistake, and you're dead. The Yankees don't mess around with dudes on base. They always get the big hits.

My daughter and I went to a lopcal HS footbal game last night, pulled in to park just as Hamilton hit his homer in the first to go up 3-0. Sweet. Left the game as they were flashing a 5-0 score up after seven on the scorebaord. Sweet. Didn't even bother to listen ot the game on the radio. Got home and turned on the TV just in time to see the last out and the Yanks win 6-5. Huh? Must've been some top of the 8th. If you have someone like the Yankees by the throat you'd better finish them. I got the feeling the Rangers thought the game was in the bag. Somebody forgot to tell the Yankees.

There they go thinkin' again.
Maybe the next game,a little less thinking, and more playing ball until the game is over.
You know. Like the Yankees!

I don't think the Rangers thought that. The fans may have. The problem is the Yankees didn't think it either and the Ranger relief couldn't get anyone out.

This series starts Monday. A best of 5 with Cliff Lee pitching twice. We'll see how all the young Rangers do on the big stage in New York under all that pressure.

I wouldn't put game 3 in the Rangers win column yet. Andy is not Hughes and he can pitch in big spots.

I just dont have a good feeling about this.

Lee has been unhittable in the postseason.

Yanks throw out AJ for game 4.

The bats better be on thier game, because this could get ugly FAST.

Yeah, maybe, but he is 87 years old and has had a lot of injuries.

Yeah you said that last round too.

After almost 50 years of National League baseball, there are some rumors down in Houston that the Astros may be headed for the AL West. Bud Selig has hinted that there is a change in store with regard to alignment and this change would put five teams in all six divisions and even out the number of teams in each league at 15.

The team is on the block right now, and this could possibly be a conditon of sale for the new owner. I hope it doesn't come to pass for a variety of reasons, namely the travel difference and the fact that all inter-division road games would be two time zones away. A game on the West Coast wouldn't start until 9:30 Houston time. I'm generally against further expansion, but I'd rather see them add a new team to that division than jerk the Astros around.

If Hurricane Ike taught us anything, it's that Bud isn't afraid to stick the Astros with the short end...

Eff Selig.

The Rangers are in the AL west. Could create a nice rivalry.

Go Rangers!
