I just wanted to pass on the following information I received from Willie Perkins about Gregg missing a show during his watch. Mr. Perkins reported that Gregg never missed a show with someone sitting in for him during his watch. There were shows canceled.... but he never missed a show.
Mr. Perkins started with the band in June, 1970 so this show must have been prior to June, 1970.
Hope this helps a little as it narrows the time frame down a bit more (a the search continues).

Willie would know, for sure -- however, there's no doubt about Gregg's absence from this show (see sig line), so I guess it's 1970 or before...

Isn't that something -- Melting Pot, Dan Toler's band, one of the openers at the July 1971 show...

Danny and Jack Pearson would have been such a killer 1-2 punch -- in any band, at any time

sliding over to Bill's post from this morning --
Happy Birthday, Duane Allman -- thanks for leaving the world a better place than you found it, with your music...

I was at this concert... the second set was just as good! Greg was there... he was sick. He left the stage and Mike Pinera joined the line up. It was in 1971... it was hot in that Armory.
