I think this new political climate is so absurd, that neither side really has anything to debate at this point. The only thing more absurd than this, is debating something this absurd.

We have a new President, the country is going to go in a new direction. Things will get verrrry lively in the political arena. The band has not called it quits either, they are absorbing the most recent loss, but since they are musicians, they will be back playing and then gravitate towards each other because they cannot find the synergy with other players.

Is this referring to the website overall or just the whipping post section.? ( which should have died long ago )

He has a new wife, he has to deal with Butch's passing. These things take time. Right now we are in Beacon time, that time of year they always played the Beacon. That coupled with Butch's passing is a big thing to comprehend. Gregg is a musician. He will play again, he just needs time right now. I remember when the band broke up and Dickey was so determined he would not play with Gregg again, (late 1970's) well, that changed. It took some time but they came back together as brothers, and it is my belief they will do so again. Butch's passing is a huge emotional thing for all of them, particularly because of the way it happened. To get back on the road as a band, well think about all that is required for that to happen. They have to do auditions, decide on personnel, decide on songs, get shows booked and be ready to deliver with a different person back there. It's a HUGE thing. It will take time.

Gregg is taking the time he needs to evaluate things and come to terms with the loss. It is better if he takes the time, rather than coming out getting **** faced and giving a bad performance. After Duane and Berry died, he was not in good shape for quite awhile. Nobody wants that from him again, we want him healthy, happy. He needs this time. He will not be forsake, nor forgotten, when he is ready, everybody will be ready for him.

Oh, I think it'll come back somewhat. I hadn't been here in a while.
I'm doing the retirement thing backwards, bought a vineyard a couple of years before I retire. The vineyard hasn't been tended to --, well, since the guy made the mistake of trying to make money parking cars during the Pop Festival. Vines, wire, and posts got knocked down and it cost him more money to fix it all than he made. Not to mention all the sick "music admirers" who thought they could cook the green muscadines.
Anybody know someone that collects antique beer cans?

I think you are confused about the make up of the remaining posters. But, then again, you think a "universal" health care plan that will take insurance away from millions and be too expensive for many older fellow Americans is a good thing.

And Trump "won" not "one".

I've been trying to get an estimate on the can (one only so far). It's a Miller High Life, 24 oz can, unopened, still full.
The can is a little faded, all legible, has the emblem with the girl sitting on the crescent moon.
It does have the warning about drinking while pregnant, but no web address.
None of the date codes from Miller work with the codes on the can.

Any ideas?

Not old enough to be worth your while - few bucks maybe if you find the exact guy that wants it.

As for the end? Still a way to go on that road although I have been in favor of eliminating the WP and sending people off to political forums to battle and copy and paste thousands of pages of crap that the person involved in the debate doesn't read anyway.

Let's make it about music for a change. It is what brought us here in the first place and in some cases it is the only common ground amongst some members.

Do you know Gregg personally, know what's specifically going on with him medically, know where his mindset is? My guess is "no" to all of these. If "no", then you're off on another of your speculation trips.

Well Martin, there has been no disclosure regarding any health problems. From his words after Butch's death, saying that he was heartbroken and he lost another brother, we can figure out he needs time to grieve, and to try to tour when grieving is not a good idea. Prior to Butch's loss he was playing and enjoying himself and there was talk about re-union with former ABB members. All of those form the basis of my opinion as stated. Additionally, knowing his music as well as I do, I know what he is as a person, I am not alone in that.

I know when he is ready, he will be back out there giving that part of himself, because that's what musicians do. People around here seem to think he has retired, and I totally disagree with that idea. I'll even go further, I don't think he wanted the band to break up, but he also knew that what it needed to be, with the energy of what made it a great band, was not there in Derek and Warren anymore. If Derek had left without taking Warren with him and another player came in, they might have still been playing. I don't fault Derek for wanting to go, he evolved and needed to be elsewhere but that's what caused the demise of the band.
