You've heard of Ali Baba
Forty thieves had he
Out for what we all want
Lots of LSD

He also had a camel
Stole it from a zoo
How he loved the camel
And the camel loved him too

(Oh, how the camel loved Ali Baba!)

Happy Hump Day Folks ...

Back in about 2009 when I came over for the Beacon run, I circulated a few copies of a show to some of you ... it was a Skip re-master of a soundboard version of 1/31/71 that had the following set list ...

ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND
FILLMORE WEST ~ SAN FRANSISCO
31 JANUARY 1971

DISC 1
01 STATESBORO BLUES 4:29
02 TROUBLE NO MORE 4:08
03 DONíT KEEP ME WONDERING 3:40
04 Tuning 0:49
05 IN MEMORY OF ELIZABETH REED 12:57
06 MIDNIGHT RIDER 3:29
07 HOOCHIE COOCHIE MAN 5:36
08 DREAMS 10:49
09 YOU DONíT LOVE ME 15:44

DISC 2
01 HOT íLANTA 6:32
02 WHIPPING POST 21:25
03 ONE WAY OUT * 5:08
04 MOUNTAIN JAM * 45:50

Tracks 3 and 4 on Disc 2 (marked with *) were actually from another show that Skip used to fill up the disc. Sadly I have lost my email from Skip with the info telling me where they were from. Can any of you help me out with this info?

Hello loungers!

Snow is melting fast here in CT.

Did y'all see the article and photos of the private Butch tribute in Macon?

Here it is:

Hi Colin,
Skip told me as follows:

The bonus tracks are One Way Out from 6/16/71 Birmingham and Mnt Jam from 3/13/70 (and they are also included on the Official Archive Release when it finally is released) I know youve heard 1/31/71 but I think you'll like these remastered versions of the show.

Thanks Masahiko ... that is almost certainly word for word what Skip told me ... unfortunately when I moved home 3 years ago I had to change my email address and I lost access to all my old messages ... which sadly included conversations with Skip, Hugh and Bobo ...
