It's Not Just The Sweep Of TB
They ran the table end of season too winning 7 of last 8 crucial games to qualify, & igniting their current 11-of-12 streak
......that culminated over a week ago

That we're going into it on a continuous schedule is to our advntg -- we're going good & the ? rite now is
Do we go w/Jaroslav 2nite
I think we should -- he's had an xclnt season (.922 save %, 2.34 GAA) & should get a game or 2 -- Tuukka would be more than cool w/backing him up & getting a lateral end to end look at the supposedly mighty CBJ

.....who we beat 2-of-3 this season, including 6-2 earlier this month at their place -- Jaroslav beat them 2-1 in OT b4 that --

mojo/karma/bounce of the puck etc, comes & goes
From outta nowhere they caught lightning in a bottle igniting an incredible 3-week streak
Then, THUD -- shut down

-- if Jaro started fast & the boys were really keyed up, it'd be monster-large way of getting the 1st game -- they're very good, & Let's Go Broonz

They swept & rested, we played the limit* staying on a continuous schedule
2 times
now the 'same-ol, same-ol' continues to prevail -- they're streaking (league-best 31-12-2 in 2019) --
& We Beat Them 2 of 3
Carolina? Solid & more -- Hurricane strength???
expecting same troubles as CBJ -- they were Very good, Xclnt in this series -- was looking dicey aftr 1st 3 games, & beyond

With four more points, DAVID KREJCI will become fifth player in Bruins history to attain 100 career playoff points

Also, "over the past 3 seasons, no other left wing -- not even Alex Ovechkin -- has more points than BRAD MARCHAND's 270"

So we root for BROONZ, OMGosh We Burned It Down 3rd Period Of 6TH Game -- a ton of Great goalies, & they still look up to Tuukka, he was burnin

Da Bruins snorted out the Hurricane yesterday an expect more of the same Tuesday.
New goalie perhaps but see a significant difference in talent.

Bruins as you said definitely were the superior team and exposed Carolina the entire series. Carolina was playing over their heads and came down to Earth. Powerplay and goaltending were the differences. Rask is playing like the top 5 goalie that he has been most of his career.

Sharks and Blues are fun to watch but again, i think goaltending will be the difference for Boston in the finals. I dont see Boston having a difficult time with either of those teams as Boston has great depth and goaltending.

Wish these playoffs would end because quite frankly they have been pretty boring since first round compared to other seasons.

Looking forward to free agency and draft. Guess that is how it happens when your team does not make the playoffs

They proved themselves as upstairs-types elsewhere

Now John Davidson is coming back home to lead his old team, the Rangers -- Jim Schoenfeld resigned at the same time as NYR assistant GM -- hmmm, "was there a history there" haha -- never knew Jim was w/Rangers in various capacities for 17 years
side note, Cashman-Schoenfeld is one of the famous Bruins fights -- end boards busted open, & they tumbled into the alleyway where they beat the heck out of each other -- Jim later played briefly w/Broonz

But Davidson did well as an exec in Columbus, now he returns to his hometown (article said), to try to do the same with the squad he played with --

Same Steve Yzerman -- he built TB into a powerhouse
now he's coming home
-- in an attempt to rebuild/resurrect Red Wings

most hockey fans would want to see these two cornerstone O-6 franchises return to greatness, especially w/these two ex-players returning to run the show

Wednesday night was everything a Game Seven should be, all that was missing was OT.

At the start of the playoffs I picked the Blues to win the West but lose to Tampa.

I said if they go far it will be Ryan O'Reilly's play.

Boy did he make me look smart.

The goal with 8 seconds left in the 1st period that made it 2-0 was a dagger
we outshot them in Gm 7 but they had the better-quality chances
obviously a big disappointment not winning the Cup -- read somewhere, it would've been the 1st time since Detroit in the 1920s or 30s to have 3 pro sports titles same time/city
bottom line (reiterating 3/22 post)
"There's something about our team this year -- we've been awesome"

The Bruins played the St.L Blues, a fast-rising (improving/on a hot streak etc) last Saturday night -- great game

The addition of Berube behind the bench & Binnington in net was a magic potion for the Blues alright -- incredible turnaround

"will this be Joe's final game in Boston"*
it won't be -- Thornton is coming back for his 22nd season
Zdeno is also in the fold for next year -- same Marleau, final year of 3 year contract w/Tor -- warriors one & all

we had no injuries of any note this season -- if same next year, we go all the way -- we did that this year, just a game short

St.L could give the Blues to a lotta teams

that they did

Not sure i agree with your conclusion. Teams have magic where things break right. It did for both Boston and St Louis this year. Boston was lucky to be in finals and St Louis was lucky they played Boston. Boston complains about injuries, give me a break--- Raske played way over his head, they swept an average team in the semi finals so were well rested. Most importantly for both teams was that teams like Tampa Bay, Washington, Vegas and Nashville somehow lost (no thanks to St Louis or Boston who had easy roads to the finals) which led to the final matchup.

Congrats to boston and st louis but no way ieither of those teams playing in finals next season. Neither team is that good.

I follow the Bruins, at no time did I read or see anything about "Boston complains about injuries" -- it would've been impossible, we didn't have any, of note

"Boston was lucky to be in finals
"Raske played way over his head
"Boston had easy road to finals
"Boston was so well rested
"Neither team is that good"

No disrespect/Totally Ridiculous
I'll bet ya we'll be in the finals again
Toronto, CBJ and Carolina would not call Boston lucky, I can assure you
B's fans have seen Tuukka (Raske) play to that level many many times before -- your 5/17 comment on Tuukka is the accurate one
Finishing 2nd with 107 points is not luck, nor was the postseason level we played at

Can't believe the resentment/petty jealousy against Boston teams here on the boards -- no one who watched it, or who did not watch it fixated-in-prayer hoping for Boston to lose, could call it boring hockey by lucky undeserving teams

Boston is a great team and will be in the hunt along with a few others in the East.

Sleeper team next season in the East will be Buffalo sneaking in the playoffs then playing spoiler.

Boston is not a great team. The nosed out the Leafs Beat the Blue Jackets and Hurricanes and lost to St Louis. A great team? Teams that survive and win the cup are very fortunate and lucky is all i am saying. To think you are that good to win again is way over the top. The stars align to win the cup.

There are 32 teams with a cap so I think next year will be different. Boston and St Louis are not making the finals. There are better teams and the luck will be different .
