That will be a great R&R machine goldtopper. I love that color it's very creamy looking in those photo's is it more yellow in person???

Well, it's not the horrid banana yelow that I see on all of the faded series. It's more of a light butterscotch color- looks like the original 59's or 60's that have faded.
Here's the story-
I walked into guitar center (eee gads!) because they had the Gibson's on sale for $999. The only colors available at that price were brown and red. They were mahogany, but the bodies were minimally 4 piece, and badly matched at that. The rosewood boards were really steaky too. The red one I played was nice, but not that nice.
So I was slinking out and noticed this guitar hanging on the wall. It was the exact guitar I came for. It was also an....epiphone (double eee gads!!!). I thought I'd try it out. I went in the same little room with the gibson, played them back to back through a Fender DRRI. The only difference I noticed was that the Gibson's pickups were louder. Not better, just louder. The body is 1 piece solid mahogany and the grain shows through just like it should. The rosewood board is perfect.
The epiphone was on sale for $299!
I walked right up and bought it.
I've used it at every gig since and it just kills.
A week after I bought it, I noticed they had them online at Music123- for $249! I went back to GC and asked if they price matched. The mgr said "hell yeah". I came home with a refund of $50, this on of all days, black friday.
If you can get yer paws on one of these, IMHO they are amazing.

It's an Epiphone, not a Gibson. The fit and finish look great. How's the neck profile?

Somewhat thinner than my LP, not a bat, but not skinny either.

I like the neck shape on my Les Paul Special.

The rounded 59 shape on my Gibson Les Paul Studio is a bat.

An older picture...I've since sanded down the Tele.

This picture is a couple years old...I've cut off all except maybe half an inch of that hair! Warming up for the National Anthem...
