Ah yes, nothing is funnier than jokes about sexual assult. Hillarious.

MartinD28 - 9/26/2018 at 11:31 AM

Another thought provoking post - full of depth & substance. It could have only been more effective if it was in cartoon format.

BrerRabbit - 9/26/2018 at 03:24 PM

Genuine misogynist.

jkeller - 9/26/2018 at 03:48 PM

Republican pick for SCOTUS accused of sexual misconduct. Hilarity ensues.

MartinD28 - 9/26/2018 at 04:10 PM

Anybody catch his interview on State Run TV where he came off as a choir boy and talked about his virginity? Sad.

Come on, Judge K. You run to FOX just like Groper Don to do interviews. You don't seem too convincing.

pops42 - 9/26/2018 at 05:01 PM

Maybe he should be playing dominos with bill cosby. and maybe gluber should learn how to spell.

He appeared to be exactly what he is - an entitled politician with an agenda not a reasoned or learned judge humble enough to serve for life as a justice.

He raised the issue of virginity. The follow-up question was "through all the years questions have been raised" - that includes his time at Yale (4 years plus law school) plus high school. Really? "Not even close?" Is he going to parse whether a bj is sex for us now?

It's disgusting that he & his nominating president have reduced the qualifications for SCOTUS to sexual conduct and alcohol abuse. Are there no intelligent capable candidates for the position?

Women were lone voices when Thomas was let off the hook almost 30 years ago. Women AND THE MEN WHO LOVE, MARRY, AND PARENT THEM should be shouting louder now to stop this farce.

[Edited on 9/26/2018 by cyclone88]

MartinD28 - 9/26/2018 at 11:05 PM

When was the last time a SC nominee ran to a TV station to do a Q & A? And of all stations, Fox which is home base for Trump and his agenda.

BK's views & writings are concerning enough. Throw in the possibility of his direct actions towards women, and a lifetime appointment surely seems like a dangerous formula. More interviews of other women should be heard before rubber stamping this guy. However, several GOP senators are on record saying they will vote "yes".

The GOP all old white guys on the Judiciary Committee will bring in a female prosecutor to question the judge and the professor tomorrow. They are chicken $hits to be afraid to be seen going rough on Dr. Ford. This is their job, and they have abdicated their responsibility for fear of perception of going too tough on women. The women of this country are too smart to not see through this dog & pony show and will hopefully vote out as many of these invertebrates in the GOP this fall as possible - House & Senate.

Anybody catch the prez's presser today? It was an hour plus of him interrupting reporters, not answering questions, repeating the sames lines over & over even though the questions were different, calling the Dems cons, telling us how great he is, telling us that Judge K is a genius, deflecting answers about the alleged victims, never showing empathy for women, yet claiming that women across the country are upset that the good judge & his family are so unfairly being mistreated, and of course criticizing Obama, telling us no collusion, stating how great a relationship he has with KJU of North Korea. Bottom line - a typical diatribe by a rambling TV president.

OriginalGoober - 9/26/2018 at 11:58 PM

Come on, there are many inconsistencies if you look at this , for one, if Senator Finestein received a letter about sexuall asssult it should have been considered a crime, and not a politcal advantage. I think based on the timing of the release it was used in a manner as a high level political advantage..... played on the river, so to speak..... I am not even into the statements made by those interviewed, who could neither corroborate or witness these things.... Then, if you listen to the MSM, such as MSNBC, you have Senator Dick (Richard) Blumenthal stating " I believe" , in the same sentence states " We must not let a ridgid idealogue gain access to the bench"
So, I have my doubts that this really occured and even IF IT DID there is INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE to conclude he did these... this doesnt diminish the fact that these women should be heard, let them speak, but I will be viewing them from a political advantage lens.

Then explain why the women and the Democrats want the FBI to investigate and Kavanaugh and the Republicans don't. You would think if Kavanaugh was so pure and holy, he would want the FBI to clear his name.

Right now the "only play is to delay" so thats what matters to the Democrats. An investigation? No time, No place, Not many witnessses, Lots of alcohol, College Freshman, and you think they will come up with a verdict akin to finding a fingerprint on the condom wrapper? No, it wont matter by then...The Democratic Party is using these women for political gain.

We will see what transpires tomorrow. Right now, I actually think that the advantage is for the democrats based on his coming off like a choir boy on Fox news.. Come on, at least dont try and portray yourself like you spent Thursday nights in the library... Seesh....

WHY WOULD HE? Put the RINOs on record so those that supported them can judge for themselves if they want the Kavanaugh obstructionist representing them.

Hey goob - Don't you want to see those big bad 80 plus year old Repubs (like Grassley & Hatch) on the Judiciary Committee step up to the plate and question Dr. Ford? Instead they've chosen to hide behind the skirt of a hand picked female prosecutor to do their questioning. You've got to admit, these GOP Senators are doing a great job of being men and doing their job, right? Who are the real pu$$ies in the Senate tomorrow during the side show?

Bhawk - 9/27/2018 at 12:43 AM

GOP could have just called a vote on this days ago. McConnell told donors last week he has the votes.

Or does he?

Kavy was pure for a long time telling the world about his virginity. What a guy. Now he's probably the perfect fit for Team Trump. He seems to have the right qualifications when it comes to women. Dr. Ford passed a lie detector test. Wonder if the good judge would take one. Yes - maybe not admissible, but would be interesting to see the results.

Democrats will run with anyone who was in the same college or high school with His Honor Brett C. Now there are accusations about drunken men(including the nominee) forming trains to pin cushion coeds. Its way out of hand.

BoytonBrother - 9/27/2018 at 11:09 AM

I love watching Goob meltdown over things that don’t involve him.

BoytonBrother - 9/27/2018 at 01:14 PM

Someone like Kavanaugh, with this baggage, should have every right to earn a decent living, despite mistakes made in the past. But at the same time, someone with this type of baggage should NEVER be in a position such as Supreme Court judge. Those seats are for the best of our country, not someone like Kavanaugh.

BrerRabbit - 9/27/2018 at 06:39 PM

Talk radio is going nuts over this. Mark Levin last night in fullblown paranoia mode, scary. "It's tyranny against conservatives" WHATEVER!

They are all downplaying it as "boys will be boys" and my favorite is the standard justification-dodge - "it's normal highschool and college male behavior, er um of course I never did anything like that but lots of other guys did, er um..."

Bull. It isn't normal. At all. If you think it is you need help.

BoytonBrother - 9/27/2018 at 07:27 PM

Kavanaugh already in tears, attacking Democrats over and over. Should a wimpering politician with baggage, and bias against Democrats be a Supreme Court judge? Even if he didn’t do it, his lack of composure and hatred for Dems should disqualify him too.

BoytonBrother - 9/27/2018 at 07:34 PM

Those are tears of guilt and shame. Innocent people wouldn’t react this way IMO.

[Edited on 9/27/2018 by BoytonBrother]

BoytonBrother - 9/27/2018 at 07:46 PM

I was truly giving him the benefit of the doubt before today. Even Goober complimented me when I said I had no issue with a conservative nominee. And I stated that I do not share the demonization of him, nor do I judge him as a person for something that happened in high school. With that being said, he looks beyond horrible and beyond guilty today. The tears, the 50 mentions of “Democrats”, his irrelevant statements like “all beer drinkers will now be accused of sexual assault”, all scream guilt. A Supreme Court seat is NOT for the weak.

MartinD28 - 9/27/2018 at 09:04 PM

His record & writings alone should disqualify him - specifically on executive power and womens' choice.

The rest of his anger and boo hoo tears is him feeling he may be deprived of the big shiny object he covets. He repeats on and on the same lines just like Trump does. Birds of a feather flock together.

His abrasive style in interrupting questions does not speak well for a man who should be more measured. He's quite arrogant...some may say rightfully so, but in someone on their way to the SCOTUS, he doesn't act like a professional.

I do see that some of the GOP Senators stepped up to the plate this afternoon to do questioning on the good judge. But they were camera shy and didn't want to be seen as wolves this A.M. towards Dr. Ford. They deferred to the female prosecutor. Be proud GOP Senators - you are big men.

Please someone - tell me what has happened to Lindsey Graham. He went off on a jerk off rant and meltdown. He has truly become Trump's golf buddy and lackey in the Senate. There was a time when he drew lines in the sand and challenged Trump. Graham's good good friend, John McCain would probably be ashamed to see the flip & the role that Graham has taken.

sckeys - 9/27/2018 at 09:19 PM

My senator Lindsay Graham needs a beer.

This judge has proven that he isn’t fit. He couldn’t be fair or impartial at all. He is echoing right wing talking points. Interesting day so far.

BoytonBrother - 9/27/2018 at 10:04 PM

Had he denied these accusations with composure and unbias, I would support his nomination. But today he showed he is not stable enough to be a judge.

tbomike - 9/27/2018 at 10:17 PM

The weirdest part of his testimony to me is the insistence that he has never lost memory or been fuzzy on events after drinking. It is HIS own statements that he has ever had too much to drink. So what and how does he think it manifests itself when you " drink too much"?

X2. His strategy is to appear as Trumpian as possible - angry, paranoid (are the Clintons responsible for everything?), & disrespectful to the senators who have the constitutional obligation to question him. He's not easily getting something to which he believes he is ENTITLED & he's having a mini-Trump tantrum. It's naif to say justices aren't political, but he's shown himself to be aggressively biased. If seated, he wouldn't pretend to give any case a fair legal analysis.

"If seated, he wouldn't pretend to give any case a fair legal analysis."

This statement quoted above pretty much says it all. He doesn't even try to hide it. He goes on FOX to preach his case, and then he threw a tantrum aiming conspiracy theories towards the Democrats on the committee all the while dragging in the Clintons.

With that said, unless Collins & Murkowski vote "no", I think he's in. There is outside hope for Flake, but for all his criticism of Trump, he mostly votes party line. And Ben Sasse's performance today pretty much spells "yes".

He might just be too dumb to know he is dialed for the Supreme Court no matter what happens. After all this he's gonna be meaner than ever. Probably go on a lifetime vendetta against women. How dare they.

The only live testimony I saw was when they were going through his high school yearbook line by line. It was surreal.... The man has 300 legal opinions and Democrats wanted to cross-examine Judge Cavanaugh on his high school yearbook quotes.

Glad we are heading for a vote today.

Somehow people found him credible. Michael Smerconish, who I believe is completely unbiased, said he found them both credible. How so? One was calm and answered every question directly, and requested an FBI investigation. The other sobbed, yelled, filibustered, and did not want an investigation.

2112 - 9/28/2018 at 04:01 PM

I have no idea if he did it or not, and neither does anyone else here. Everyone is just guessing, and mostly depending on what side of the aisle you sit on is determining who you believe. For that reason, I think a FBI investigation is in order. There is no reason to rush this. If they could wait 10+ months without even having a hearing for Merrick Garland, then a delay of a few weeks here should be no big deal.

MartinD28 - 9/28/2018 at 04:02 PM

He was asked about submitting to an FBI Investigation countless times, and he never would commit. That there should tell that there are things he doesn't want dug up or found out.

He was less than impressive in his answers & presentation.

As I mentioned last night, Jeff Flake would vote party line, and he did. He talks a much bigger game than his votes on issues have shown. Good riddance to him when his term is up. Would rather have a hard core / far right GOP type than a soft peddling guy who criticizes Trump at every turn yet tows the Trump line. Tired of hearing light weights dance the line.

It will well be worth watching the mid term elections and see the results of the female voting stats. Women statistically vote more than men, and I suspect the GOP and its attitude and treatment of women will be punished at the polls.

Democrats all playing dumb regarding the source of the leak of the letter. Feinstein will not investigate her staff and is satisfied with a one word reply from her staff. Shades of the Hillary investigation coming thru here on credibility and motive.

How many times have we asked you? Are you interested in the truth?

Why is the judge afraid to answer "yes" to FBI Investigation if he is innocent? He certainly appears if he's hiding something. There are at least 3 if not 5 women who dispute him.

Dr. Ford passed a lie detector test. Did BK?

Goober is shocked and appalled when politicians play politics. And to believe it’s just the “Dems” who do this is beyond silly, especially for a grown man.

Anyway, forget what happened 36 years ago......what does the letter have to do with confirming an unhinged emotional wreck like Crying Kavanagh? Should a sobbing mess like him be any type of judge?

cyclone88 - 9/28/2018 at 04:43 PM

Even BK's alma mater Yale Law School has joined the American Bar Association in demanding an FBI investigation.

I'm confused why BK thinks drinking hard & studying/playing sports are mutually exclusive. He also confuses judicial temperament w/belligerence as appropriate behavior for a SCOTUS nominee. It's a job interview. He's supposed to be deferential - not hostile.

It's not the sobbing, it's the hostility, paranoia, and entitlement directed to senators & the constitutional process that make him unfit. He's not even going to pretend to be an impartial learned justice. Wonder how he'll behave in oral arguments - a little sobbing, a little hysteria - at least Scalia was a gentleman.

To use Trump's overused lines - "He's a very fine person, and he said he didn't do it. He 's being treated very unfairly".

This applies to Roy Moore, Rob Porter, and Judge Bret K. They are frat boys in Trump's fraternity. They all seem to share commonality.

As far as the women accusers and victims. Well, they don't really matter in the world of Trump. After all, it is the men who deserve pity.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2018/09/05/full_replay_judge_brett_ kavanaugh_opening_statement.html

https://www.self.com/story/sexual-assault-definition

Jennifer Gentile Long, the chief executive officer of AEquitas: The Prosecutors' Resource on Violence Against Women, a global project she co-founded in April 2009, tells SELF those include:

Sexual Assault Falls into One of Three Categories

1. Penetration crimes
Of a body part by another body part (i.e., penal penetration of mouth, anus, vagina)
Of a body part by an object

2. Contact with genitalia, breast, buttocks, or other intimate body parts

3. Exposure of genitalia, breast, buttocks or other intimate body parts

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/sep/30/brett-kavanaugh-hearing-dr aws-20-million-viewers-s/
Ford told the SenateJudiciary Committee that she’s 100 percent certain that Kavanaugh groped her drunkenly and tried to take off her clothes at a high school party.

"tried to take her clothes off?"

FIRST ISSUE:

I heard her video and read the transcript of it also. She mentions that Kavanaugh was grinding on top of her. She also said that she had a one piece swimsuit on underneath her clothes when he was trying to get her clothes off.

1. Did he get he get her clothes off?

2. Was there intercourse? By Kavanaugh or by the male she names as Mark?

3. What sexual acts actually took place?

I believe something happened to her and that she knows who it was that traumatized her and she has named him as Kavanaugh. If he raped her (in any of her orifices) then that is rape. If he just was on top of her terrorizing her and humiliating her then that is assault.

What actually happened here?

SECOND ISSUE

If he indeed did assault/traumatize her then his judgment is in question, and a Supreme Court Justice must not have faulty judgment influenced by his lower sexual desires in decision making and behavioral conduct. He probably knows the laws just fine and could adjudicate cases objectively, but the moral fitness for the position is what would be in question.

We do need to consider the times/culture of people at the time this occurred. His alleged behavior is not really out of the norms compared to others in his social class. Did he act in ways that others would not have under the same circumstances? Possibly not. Is he any worse than any of his colleagues in Washington? Probably not, and that is the saddest commentary on the state of our nation.

THIRD ISSUE

The FBI will do a background check? A background check is almost nothing. Trump said they have free reign, others have said their investigation will be limited in scope. Well which is it? How can they mandate that they only have ONE WEEK to complete it? How do they know how long it should take to complete it unless it is all a sham just so they can say they did something.

No we don't.

gina - 9/30/2018 at 11:23 PM

One of the other things is, that some judges deny that unwanted/coercive intercourse is rape unless the womans private part is shredded and torn during the rape. They claim that if that did not occur then there was no rape. They say no doesn't mean no apparently because it was allowed to happen.

This incident could even spark a debate with the Supreme Court to define rape.

No means No and all people need to understand that.

gina - 9/30/2018 at 11:26 PM

One of the other things is some of the Senators think this is a conspiracy orchestrated by the Democrats.

From Rachel Mitchell’s report:

“In the legal context, here is my bottom line: A “he said, she said” case is incredibly difficult to prove. But this case is even weaker than that. Dr. Ford identified other witnesses to the event, and those witnesses either refuted her allegations or failed to corroborate them. For the reasons discussed below, I do not think that a reasonable prosecutor would bring this case based on the evidence before the Committee. Nor do I believe that this evidence is sufficient to satisfy the preponderance-of-the-evidence standard.”

Between Trump and Kavanaugh, the right sure has some really low expectations for our country’s leadership. No political experience and a temper for President? No problem! ". . .it certainly wasn’t legal for Kavanaugh, who lived in Maryland. In the summer of 1982, seven months before he turned 18, the state raised the legal drinking age for beer and wine from 18 to 21. (It was already 21 for hard liquor.)

Those who were 18 or older at the time were “grandfathered” in, so they could continue to drink legally. That, however, did not apply to Kavanaugh: He didn’t turn 18 until the following February. "

Democratic staffer arrested in doxxing of GOP senators during Kavanaugh hearing

www.foxnews.com

A Democratic congressional staffer was arrested Wednesday and accused of posting the personal information of at least one Republican senator during last week's hearing about sexual assault claims against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, authorities said.

U.S. Capitol Police said 27-year-old Jackson Cosko was charged with making public restricted personal information, witness tampering, threats in interstate communication, unauthorized access of a government computer, identity theft, second-degree burglary and unlawful entry. Police added that the investigation was continuing and more charges could be filed.

Senior congressional sources tell Fox News that Cosko most recently worked as a staffer for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas. He also had worked with Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., and former Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer of California. A LinkedIn page with Cosko's name on it describes him as a "Democratic Political Professional & Cybersecurity Graduate Student."

Personal information of Sens. Lindsey Graham, Mike Lee and Orrin Hatch was posted on their respective Wikipedia pages as the Senate Judiciary Committee questioned Kavanaugh over allegations that he assaulted Christine Blasey Ford at a high school party in the early 1980s. All three have professed their belief that Kavanaugh is innocent of the claims brought against him by Ford, with Graham telling the federal judge "you've got nothing to apologize for" amid a fiery rant denouncing Democrats' handling of the claims.

The intentional publication of the information was first caught by a Twitter bot that automatically tracks any changes made to Wikipedia entries from anyone located in the U.S. Congress and publicizes them on the social media site. The bot account later deleted the tweets because the edits contained personal information. According to the bot, whoever posted the information did so from a computer in the House of Representatives.

The home addresses of the senators appeared to be correct, thought the phone numbers didn't appear to be entirely accurate. A “home” phone number listed for Graham appeared to direct callers to the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (SMYAL), a Washington D.C.-based advocacy group.

Weak, even for you. Usually when laws are passed on the drinking age, it has something to do with , well … drinking.

I don't know about sham, but maybe incomplete. One of the key issues is what were the directives. It is hard to take anything Trump says as the truth as to what he limited. On the face of it, if the the two who testified before the Senate were among those who were not interviewed, it would seem less than thorough and more aimed at fulfilling a goal by Trump & the GOP to give cover & perception of due diligence. Throw in any those who claim to have called the FBI with info yet not interviewed & others not interviewed, and it would indicate a purposely narrowed investigation. Is this good enough for the American people?

BoytonBrother - 10/4/2018 at 09:57 PM

Definitely not good enough in my eyes. Yelling, sobbing, and dodging questions would eliminate any of us here if we did that at a job interview, but somehow it’s ok during an interview for the Supreme Court. Unreal.

My point is that the left shouldn’t criticize the FBI simply because the results don’t go their way. Otherwise they are doing the same thing as the right is doing to Mueller. I just want them to succeed in delivering their message, but too many prominent voices on the left resort to the same hostility the right displays. It’s simply a recipe for losing unfortunately. The only way to win is to demonstrate everyday that the left won’t resort to that. But they do, and only create ammunition for the other side. Without such ammunition, the right would have absolutely nothing. The only leg the right can stand on is the mistakes made by the left.

I'm not getting the criticism of the FBI. They do as they are told. They follow Trump's directives which are most likely less than sincere and aimed not so much at fact but at giving the impression of "we did what those on the left wanted". We know Trump's agenda. He is not so complicated to figure out. He told us during the campaign what he was going to do re: the SCOTUS. This week's less than complete investigation is just another of the distractions he has to go through to get his way.

Yes, exactly. In my roundabout post, this is what I was trying to say as well. Any slip up by the left makes it impossible for any ground to be gained, as unfortunate as that may be. I see a lot of misdirected outrage - stopping Senators in elevators preventing them from walking doesn’t help their cause.

Yes, 1500 and growing law professors are appalled at Kavanaugh's entitlement to the position of justice. Profs from Ivy to lower tier schools are united in this travesty of appointment for a learned temperate justice. The ABA code spells out character requirements:

Rule 1.2: Promoting Confidence in the Judiciary
A judge shall act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the independence, integrity, and impartiality of the judiciary, and shall avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety.

Last week - not 36 years ago - Kav certainly didn't demonstrate integrity or propriety as he lied to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Muleman1994 - 10/5/2018 at 02:41 PM

The Democrats demanded that The FBI conduct a 7th investigation of Brent Kavanaugh quickly and with limited scope, specifically 4 individuals.

The Dems said the investigation could be done in 3 days.

The FBI spent 5 days and interviewed many more people than the Democrats asked to be interviewed.

The result: There is no corroboration of the allegations made by Dr. Ford or Ms. Ramirez.

Supplemental FBI Investigation Executive Summary

Background

At the Senate Judiciary Committee’s request, the FBI opened a supplemental background investigation into Judge Kavanaugh. It’s his seventh FBI background investigation in 25 years, going back to 1993. The request was for an investigation into current credible allegations against Judge Kavanaugh.

In the course of its investigation, the FBI decided to reach out to eleven people, ten of whom agreed to be interviewed. The FBI reached out to all witnesses with potential firsthand knowledge of the allegations. The FBI provided to the Senate 12 detailed FD-302 reports summarizing their interviews with the witnesses as well as supporting materials cited by the witnesses during their interviews.

Interview Subjects

The FBI interviewed the following ten individuals:

Ford Allegations

• The three individuals identified by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as having attended the gathering where she was allegedly assaulted. Mark Judge PJ Smyth Leland Keyser
• Mark Judge
• PJ Smyth
• Leland Keyser
• Two other individuals included on Judge Kavanaugh’s July 1, 1982 calendar entry. Timothy Gaudette Christopher Garrett
• Timothy Gaudette
• Christopher Garrett
• An attorney for one of the witnesses

Ramirez Allegations

• Deborah Ramirez
• Two alleged eyewitnesses named by Deborah Ramirez (a third alleged eyewitness refused to submit to an interview)
• Deborah Ramirez’s close friend from college

Conclusion

The Supplemental Background Investigation confirms what the Senate Judiciary Committee concluded after its investigation: there is no corroboration of the allegations made by Dr. Ford or Ms. Ramirez.

Time will tell. If he votes over time to chip away at Roe, then his record and Trump's promises will have come to fruition. His testimony & the statements today of Susan Collins will have been invalidated. If issues of limits or not to executive power come before him, and it reflects his prior statements, than this validates what many anti Kav voters feared.

If, if if…

A Supreme Court Justice can't call downstairs to the Clerks office and tell them to put the Roe v Wade or any other ruling back on the docket.

The Dems and the far-left tried to destroy a man and his family purely for political reasons using lies.

I really don’t blame the left for dirty pool after what was done to Obama’s nominee. I do think it’s gonna get worse before better.

Muleman1994 - 10/6/2018 at 01:50 AM

The left’s deplorable political tactics in assaulting Judge Kavanaugh with outright lies and the presumption of guilt was despicable. Their death threats against him and his wife are not acceptable in civilized society. Their threats to rape his 13 and 10-year-old daughters puts them in the sewer.

The Democrats flat out lied. Every one of their accusations have been exposed as slander and false.
Obama was outsmarted and screwed up his attempt to stack the court.

Yes, it will get worse before it gets better. Much worse for the Democrats and the far-left extremists.

The American People are even more turned into the despicable tactics used by the Democrats and the left will now suffer the consequences of their own actions.

Year after year now the Democrats and the left keep losing.

The vast majority of his past decisions go against the general public and side with corporations.

I doubt that will change one bit.

No one tried to destroy a family. The man dragged his wife on television - the first SCOTUS nominee to ever make a TV appearance mid-hearings - and invoked his children. That's on him.

No one tried to a destroy a man. Legit questions were raised about a nominee's truthfulness and character. Had his nomination been withdrawn or voted down, he wouldn't have been destroyed. He would still be a wealthy man and a federal judge.

That's true. Business as usual However -- in the final analysis, they are all corporate whores. To use corporate buttlick as a standard of judgement would be to condemn the entire govt.

You are really stupid.

The Democrats used Ford for their political agenda when Feinstein released her letter to the Washington Post.

Judge Kavanaugh's wife was sent death threats.
The left-wing pundits were pushing for Judge Kavanaugh's 13 and 19-year-old daughters to be raped.

Justice Thomas appeared at his hearings on live TV and destroyed the left's attack on him when they used a stolen FBI report to attack him. Remember "this is a high-tech lynching"? The Democrat controlled Senate confirmed Judge Thomas.

Every one of the accusations against Judge Kavanaugh were shown to be lies.

It doesn't matter. The political attackers lost.

Judge Kavanaugh will be Justice Kavanaugh in a few hours and there is nothing the left-wing scum can do about it.

American wins again.

Agreed The "Division" will continue to deepen as the center becomes more of a reality and the left comes to grips with the certainty that not everyone perceives the same "truths" they believe to be the gospel.

Tax benefits for the wealthy that might or might not trickle down, deficit spending running wild, a disdain for women, dismissing women that have been assaulted, separating children from their parents and putting them in cages, finding "good" in white supremacists, making it more difficult to vote instead of promoting voting as a part of democracy, a President subservient to Russia, alienating our one time allies, and the lists goes on. Hint: the past two days are a direct result of the tariffs imposed by our clueless president. Investors are pulling out of stocks and buying bonds. This is the first sign of a likely recession.

If you want the answer then do your own research. I don't have time to do research for those too lazy or incompetent to do it themselves, especially when the answer is meaningless. While you're at it, start the clock at inauguration day, not the final months of Obama's term when his policies were still in effect. If you really want to give your research some meaning, you should compare the number of record highs to Obama's during the same time frame. Good luck!

The Dow is up 315% since Obama took office. If you want to compare rises in the Dow that include parts of other president's terms, I guess this fact is just as important as yours.

Muleman1994 - 10/14/2018 at 02:55 PM

Crawling back into the failed Obama administration?

Man, you are desperate.

Obama gave us an anemic economy and the slowest recovery from a recession in history. For his time on office he averaged a pathetic 1.8% GDP.

President Trump, in very short time, already has the GDP above 4%, the lowest unemployment in 49+ years and consumer confidence at the highest level ever.

President Trump is actively reversing the trade imbalance and corporate re-investment is sparking business expansion at a level not seen since the Reagan administration.

On the theme of this thread President Trump has successfully put two great jurists on The Supreme Court that will make rulings based on the law.

President Trump is Making America Great Again.

Unemployment has been going down at a steady rate for years. There was no change in the trend in unemployment rate since Trump took over. The rate has been steady. In fact, the new jobs added rate since Trump took over has been less than the last 3 years under Obama. Oh, and are you enjoying the trillion dollar deficits? Running a deficit like that under a good economy is reckless. I remember the good old days when Republicans used to care about deficits. What happened to that?

Muleman1994 - 10/14/2018 at 08:35 PM

The unemployment rate the Obama administration was falsified. Compare the disparity between what Obama claimed and the actual numbers from ADP. Also, Obama’s “new” jobs were primarily part-time and very low wage and government jobs as his administration added massive numbers of new federal employees based on their political ideology.

Obama added more to the National Debt than all previous presidents combined.

Feel free to show us how those numbers were false and Trump’s are not seeing as how they come from the same spurce and are not approved or disapproved by the president.

Trump has added more to the debt than any president ever. How is that tax break working out for you?

I wonder where he found that false information. Here are the actual numbers (otherwise known as facts):

Total federal workers when Obama took office: 2,786,000

Total federal workers when Obama left office 8 years later: 2,804,000

An increase of less than 1% in 8 years. Almost all of Obama's job gains were in the private sector, and it represented the longest streak of job growth in history.

Oh, and although Mule would like you to think that Trump’s great negotiation skills have helped the trade deficit, it has not. The trade deficit has increased both years under Trump.

And although budget deficits should decrease during a growing economy (like they did during Obama's presidency), the budget deficit is about to explode each and every year for the foreseeable future due to tax cuts to the rich.

Muleman1994 - 10/14/2018 at 11:00 PM

Your Federal employee numbers are crap. Any competent person can compare the Obama Labor Department falsified numbers to the ADP reports which are published weekly and see wide differences.

Obama’s private sector job numbers were falsified. Remember when Obama touted his webpage to track the “thousands” of jobs his administrations was “creating”. What a joke. They claimed thousands of new jobs in zip codes that did not exist. One month after Obama was caught lying their “New Jobs Website’ disappeared.

The budget deficits under the Trump administration are due to the Democrats refusing to slow the growth of entitlements.
President Trump had to rebuild our military. Obama cut military spending so deeply all services had to salvage boneyards and museums for parts to keep enough aircraft flying.

That is twice now you have said that Obama's numbers are false with no corrroborating data or links.. The president does not release the data. The Bureau of Labor Statistics, which is non partisan, releases them. The president has no say in them.

Keep lying. We expect nothing else from you.

The Democrats are scared to death of having a Supreme Court Justice that actually rules based on the law. Too late.

If the Democrats don’t like a law they might want to begin winning elections again and eventually be in a position to change a law.

Funny you should say that. I know a guy who left his job in 2011 as a recruiter to start his own recruiting company. He tripled his income between 2012 -2016. Since then he’s remained steady. You shouldn’t blame politicians for your income. You control how much you make with hard work and good decisions.. Even Obama couldn’t keep this guy down. That’s the attitude you should adapt. Blaming a politician for your troubles is pathetically weak.

How long can the Trumpanzees continue to brag about the economy? The Dow has erased almost the entire gains of 2018 over the last 2 days. Should be fun to see how they blame Democrats for that.

BrerRabbit - 10/26/2018 at 11:57 PM

quote:
The bombs sent to Democrats were a "false flag" because they were incapable of exploding.

"False Flag" has zero to do with whether the bombs were real or fakes sent as a threat. A false flag attack is when the attackers pretend to be people they are not, usually to create hostility toward the parties they claim to be, or simply to avoid retaliation, as was the case with the Boston Tea Party, classic example of a false flag.

The term "false flag" originally referred to pirate ships that flew flags of countries as a disguise to prevent their victims from fleeing or preparing for battle.

This could have been a False Flag attack by left wing extremists trying to make the extreme right look bad. Or it could have been what it appears to be, an extreme right wing attack. There is no way to know until they are caught.

Again, all the hype on them being fake does not make the threat any less clear and present. If you found one of these in your mailbox you wouldn't care later if it was a fake - you got just as terrorized as if it was real. Am really not getting why folks are jumping on this fake thing like it makes much difference.

CBS News is Fake News.

Wrong answer. Wray's remarks have been reported on every news site that is real. Entertainment sites like Fox News are a different story.

Fox News is the number one News Network and no one else comes close.

More shame for Fake News:

NBC News raises eyebrows by sitting on info that contradicted Michael Avenatti client's gang rape claim

NBC News is under fire for sitting on information that would have cast serious doubt on wild claims about now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh just when the unsubstantiated allegations were rocking the judge's confirmation to the high court.

Fox News. The same outlet that claimed the bombs sent to Democrats were a "false flag".

Try going to a reliable source.

Its a fact that fox news viewers are stupid, because they get nothing but misinformation, and know less than somebody who watches NO news at all.

Most watched does not mean most accurate. Wray made those remarks and it was reported everywhere but Foz. Therefore, Trump's mob doesn't hear it.
