Hmm never thought Iíd see that headline. More names you wouldnít expect are getting on board. It seems that if congress actually wanted to do something to try to ease the current opioid crisis they could at least see what would happen if marijuana was available for medicinal use nation wide. Itís not like things could get a whole lot worse. Obviously this would not be a cure all as prescription pills and heroin are still very easy to obtain in most areas, but cannabis could be a much safer alternative treatment to the options like methadone and suboxone. Methadone has proven to be just as harmful as some of these drugs that people are trying to ween themselves off of.
Other than the obvious threat to the dastardly pharmaceutical companies, I just donít see how medicinal marijuana could be harmful to US citizens.

Normally I'd be encouraged at such an "evolution" but given Boehner was a pretty strident drug warrior and never allowed numerous reform bills onto the floor of the House for a vote, I'm more than a little dubious of his new found fondness for reform. I guess money does really talk....Lobbyist money that is.
F*cking alcoholic hypocrite until he gets a job offer. I wonder if he'll lobby to release those individuals arrested and imprisoned for mere possession while he led the House?
