Warriors Coach Steve Kerr on Draymond Green after first playoff game yesterday vs. Portland: "Draymond was amazing......He played a game that I'm not sure anybody else in the league is capable of, honestly. Who else can do what Draymond just did tonight? He's so unique and so important to us. He was phenomenal."

Green's stat line: 19 points, 3 three pointers, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 blocks, 3 steals.

If Draymond doesn't get Defensive Player of The Year then as far as I'm concerned, someone has their head firmly implanted up inside their behind. Obviously I don't see all the other great defensive players in the league and I watch Draymond all the time. But I've NEVER seen anyone able to turn the tide of a game just with his defense like Draymond can. He's already finished second to Kawhi Leonard twice for the award............this year it's time he won it.

And at 27 years old, Green has finally seemed to grown out of being his own worst enemy. Everyone knows that he may have lost the Finals for the Warriors last year by being suspended for game 5 vs. Cleveland for an accumulation of flagrant fouls. From yesterday's paper, "Really," Green said, "It's a waste of energy. In the end, the call is going to be the call. I'm better off directing that energy towards (the opponent). I'm not going to let them get to me and get caught up in that."

Warriors fans are SO glad to hear this...........
