Thread: Welcome to Trumpistan

goldtop - 3/13/2017 at 11:48 PM

Yep....that's what we're called in Australia.....Trumpistan...Sad how we now viewed around the world...

nebish - 3/14/2017 at 02:48 AM

Does anyone actually care what other countries think? As if it matters? Do other countries care what 'we' think of them?

BoytonBrother - 3/14/2017 at 06:02 AM

Yes, I do care. And I think we should care. Their opinions matter and have value, and we should always be open to learning from others.

2112 - 3/14/2017 at 08:40 AM

Makes sense. We are quickly headed toward being a third world country. Who knew making America great again entailed polluting streams, eliminating the EPA, eliminating OSHA worker protections, attacking a free media, and making up his own set of "facts."

Very true...

pops42 - 3/14/2017 at 05:36 PM

Lets not forget, eliminating public schools, taking away access to healthcare for 24 million people. bloated military spending where it is not needed, ignoring crumbling infrastructure.

That would a big yes, yes and yes.

rmack - 3/14/2017 at 11:32 PM

We have gone, in a few short years longer than my lifetime (and I'm still a fur peace from the grave) from being the nation that saved the world from Nazi totalitarianism and white supremacy to a fascist white-supremacy punchline that wants to abandon millions of its people from having access to health care and public education. Astonishing downhill slide, greatly accelerated by the pussygrabber in chief and his idiot supporters, both those who believe in him as he robs their children's future, and those cynical opportunists who want to grab a buck and slop up power in his fetid wake.

theo - 3/15/2017 at 12:38 AM

Yeah OK! 54 days and Trump has ruined the world.

Seems like I heard the same opinions from other countries under the last four presidents.

People all over the USA call people from California @$$holes. So what, grow the F up.

I didn't want Trump in office either, but you won't see me acting like a whiny little kid.

The powers that be are ALL sitting around a table (together) laughing at those like you. Giving so much control of your life to others just by them speaking. Playing you like a fiddle and your arrogance keeps you from ever realizing that. In the big picture that is way more sad than any clever catch phrase people in other countries can come up with to call us.

theo - 3/15/2017 at 03:12 PM

So if Trump is ruining the world in record time...then who should we have elected to save it? ...
Socialist Bernie or Corrupt Hillary? If Hillary, I think you are one of the people spoken of here...

In the meantime while being called Trumpistan, Australia has turned their back on the issue.
http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/01/opinions/australia-refugee-policy-united-nati ons/

Independent peaceful Sweden now owns the the title of "Rape Capital of Europe". Germany is having their issues but if they open their mouth it's considered a Nazi uprising. Netherlands is voting today and a very close election is expected regarding NEXIT.

In my opinion, the politicians, industry and elite have caused this refugee crisis due to our involvement over the last 70+ years in the mid-east. Now the public is paying the price. Frankly, if I grew up in the mid-east among war zones, dead bodies etc I'd probably hate the west myself.

I also think Islam needs a reformation. They need to expunge the violent sects (ISIS, Al Qaeda etc) and bring some of their cave culture (stoning, ghost clothing, etc) up to modern times. They (moderate Muslims or whatever) need to do it themselves with our support. "They" need to show the rest of the world "they" can clean house because many people (right or wrong) believe Islam is a "my way or the highway"/cult that will always distance themselves from freedom of religion. There are many peaceful Muslims who want to live in peace, pray to their God and be part of their local multi-cultural society. They are the progressives who are being hurt.

Read this (it's short) -> http://stevepieczenik.com/tolerance-no-churches-in-saudi-arabia/

So before everyone blames Trump for all the world's problems, they need to do a little history research. He's fighting the old established Republicans (they can't control him), nihilist Left (let's ruin everything and re-fix it) the Democrats (big Govt/welfare), the Deep State/Military Industrial Complex, rising Socialism (academia) and many other sub-groups. I believe he wants to make America the beacon of freedom and liberty that we used to be. Freedom of speech is on the chopping block in Europe while Facebook/Google cow down to China to get their business. Yes sir, we'll trade you "one freedom of speech" for every "yuan". Money over humanity.

Trump IS the revolution! Not Bernie, not Hillary, not Obama...they're the card sharks.

Corrections made. A simple..."check these words out for correction" would have sufficed.

Why do I think every document in your house looks like this? LOL

theo - 3/15/2017 at 08:54 PM

I am guilty of not doing spell check. Thank god it was only a couple apostrophes. (triple checked the plurality)

"Seriously though, mark my words, once you learn your apostrophe, and start paying attention to english, idiocy will start to leap out at you everywhere you go."

Was I mistaken or should the word "English" be capitalized?
Idiot teaching idiot = idiot²

Touché. Sort of. Good eye, and solid correction. I appreciate your vigilance in the protection of the last bastion of Western Civilization.

However, I am aware that English is a proper noun. You, on the other hand, required some schooling in the use of the apostrophe. Or not, you have indicated your disdain for education and intellectual pursuits in prior posts. So, feel free to continue to post in redneck yard sale sign English, and mock anyone who thinks brains matter. You and your anti-intellectual Trump gang are probably wallowing in hog heaven these days.

Typos are common in onlne text, especially when using a phone as I do. I wasn't calling you out on a typo, as repetition of mistakes is the proof. I wouldn't point out something that happens once.

For example, Trump's spelling of "honor". I have seen two Trump tweets with that spelled "honer". So it was repeated, and anyone familiar with QWERTY can tell you right off that it is not likely to accidentally hit the E when typing the O. The chances of it happening twice are extremely slim. So Trump is an idiot who can't spell.

And you vetoed for him.

"Vetoed for him?"

Well hell Brer, that there spellin' of online you writ below has got me more confused than a [to be filled in with a politically correct statement at a later date]. Best you go correct that sucker.

In regards to Trump's spelling (I believe that was a proper use of the apostrophe), the issue is his Wharton brain works faster than his hands on a keyboard and he was on to his next word a little too soon.

Brer, yes, as of late my posts are politically related. However, though I haven't checked the exact figure, all of my posts up to 2017 were music related. I will back off on the political stuff here because it is first a music forum.

You're right, one should not assume all humor is in good taste. That phrase has been corrected.
From here on out I will practice restraint, be politically correct and keep my posts to a minimum.
If I make a grammar or spelling mistake I will kindly correct and thank whoever/whomever (I'm not sure on this one) brought the mistake to light.

Please review the following as I practice...

You're not late. You just have a "rescheduled arrival time."
You're not having a bad hair day. You're suffering from "rebellious follicle syndrome."
You're not sleeping in class. You're "rationing consciousness."
You're not..."I quit"..."can't do it, f**k it."

But I will practice restraint, keep the jokes to zero and only add links that
may broaden the discussion.

Press Conference from today in Trumpistan. 3.28.17

gina - 4/2/2017 at 11:49 PM

Trump meets with the Chinese President this week, and also may change the Senate rules so that those darn Democrats cannot filibuster into oblivion to block Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Gorsuch from being appointed. He also begins work on Tax Reform, which is quite timely since the debt ceiling increase expired on 3/15/17, so this summer the raise the debt ceiling debates will be in full swing in Congress.

Only the Senate can change Senate procedural rules. The President can do nothing about it.

The King will probably threaten without knowing the limit to his powers.

gina - 4/4/2017 at 12:42 AM

There seems to be a pissing contest because of Obama's choice for a Supreme Court nominee, remember Attorney Garland, who was a great choice? Well now the Democrats are giving payback because of that. Ohhh if we could only get representatives that didn't act like spoiled children to represent us.
