Hey all... come out to Brooklyn Bowl 8/22 if you can. We will be celebrating this music we love so much. Details:
When Butch Trucks died last January I wanted to put together a tribute and thought of my dream lineup and quickly settled on Peter Levin (keys, Gregg Allman), Andy Aledort (Dickey Betts) and Junior Mack (Jaimoe's jasssz Band). When they all said yes, we played a glorious night of music last March. When Gregg passed away in May, we knew we had to do it again.
Please join the FriendsOfTheBrothers August 22 at Brooklyn Bowl to play the music of the Allman Brothers Band in celebration of out friends Gregg and Butch. Tickets are just $10 and presales are a big help: http://ticketf.ly/2uMoX98
We will joined by a terrific rhythm section: drummer Dave Diamond (Zen Tricksters) and bassist Craig Privett (HALF STEP - Grateful Dead Tribute). It's going to be a very special night. This music is not incidental to us. It is our heart and soul. I hope you can join us. Also: you can BOWL! Also: Food by Blue Ribbon, incl. that awesome fried chicken.
$10 tickets: http://ticketf.ly/2uMoX98
WHAT: Friends of the Brothers band feat. members of Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts and Jaimoe bands. Plus the Zen Tricksters and Allman Brothers biographer Alan Paul
WHEN: Tues. August 22, 8 PM
WHERE: Brooklyn Bowl, 61 Wythe Ave., Brooklyn, NY, 718-963-3369 BROOKLYNBOWL.COM/
