Might be my favorite purchase of the new year next to TTB

I just stumbled upon this album myself, poked around to see if I was the only one. Randolph's playing is sometimes too much and all over for me (I prefer Roosevelt Collier) but this album has a ton of great stuff going on. The "Don't Keep Me Wondering" might be my least favorite tune on the album.

Same. I want to like his playing, and he has his moments for me, but I canít ever really get into him. Plus, I donít think his songs are very strong.

I like his playing but not the "goosebumps" i get from other players. Robert's style is indeed too much sometimes. Too much in your face, lacking subtility. Especially when i saw him live. Goes over the top. And LOUD! Even drove people away. But that being said i like The Wordīs second release "Soul Food" a lot.

Sounded AOK to me! Great intro -- a cascade of slide guitar
