leftyblues - 8/3/2004 at 03:31 AM

Finally get a night off...realize I have no food..go to try new Chinese food place for the first time...UGGGHHHHHHH>>>me no feel good....The wildness of this site always amuses me...any other really good "bad food " stories ????

The_Newt - 8/3/2004 at 03:36 AM

ugh, about this time last year I had food poisoning for about a day and for about a few days after that I had bad stomach cramps, from eating a chicken sandwich from a chain restaurant. I went to a phish show that night and I basically just sat on my back on the lawn and looked up at the sky for the first set.

PhotoRon286 - 8/3/2004 at 03:48 AM

I got a Bacon Burger after golf last week.

Had indigestion ALL night long.

Up every hour.

Course, I suffer from GERD (Acid reflux) so this happens alot.

PeachForPeace89 - 8/3/2004 at 04:23 AM

I had a veggie burrito....horrible.

It was right before the Dead on Saturday...I had to drink a bunch of Pepsi (4 dollars each!!!!) to get that taste outta my mouth!

Pasta buffet at Shoney's, just west of Knoxville off of 40. Alfredo was past due. I am glad the toilet and bathtub in the Motel 8 acrosss the street were both accessible at the same time. 3 days I was holed up there. Literally.

ABBDutchFan - 8/3/2004 at 04:13 PM

Many moons ago i was at a huge open air festival in Belgium. Before i went to the festival i drank a large glass of ice-cold orange juice on an empty stomach which got upset immediately. As soon as i entered the festival site i got the **** ters and heavy stomach cramps but just like on most of these festivals there was a huge line of people at those
porta-cabin festival toilets. Luckely enough a staff member helped me out and gave me some sort of a token so i could enter the backstage area and use the toilets for the staff and volunteers. That spared me from some embarrasing moments!!!! Pfwew!!!!

Rock fans always want to go backstage. i always thought they did that to meet their idols
but i guess many do that so they can take a crap. Clean toilets !!! Toiletpaper !!! I'm in heaven................

TopDroog - 8/3/2004 at 04:17 PM

I had one of those sitting on the toilet with my head over the bathroom sink experiences courtesy of a Big Mac, once.

allmostbrothersbanddotcom - 8/3/2004 at 04:28 PM

Not much worse than bad Chinese Food......
Hey Lefty, how was the weather for you Sunday? Hope all went well for ya! Peace, Tom

cortezthekiller - 8/3/2004 at 05:00 PM

My worst experience of gettin sick from food was at summer camp this year...of course they feed us nothing but crap the whole time, so when we were out on a trip they took us to a golden corral. I must have had 4 plates of dinner.......I almost died that night it felt like. I spent aboiut half the night in the bathroom...

LinnieX - 8/3/2004 at 05:21 PM

worse food poisioning experience was the first year i went to the beacon ('02)

went out for dinner the night before at a diner i have eaten at about 1,000 times before and since.....I woke up feeling quesy, thought it was nerves....so i stop at the drug store and drink a whole bottle of Pepto....I rode in the back of the limo the whole way to NYC bouncing all around....still quesy.....we pull up to the beacon, all the girls pile out (along with a crap load of beer cans, empty jello shot cups, etc) on the middle of Broadway in Manhattan....i'm lucky i made it to the tree out front before i lost the contents of my stomach all over the curb. pepto pink too

the bellman almost didnt let me in, especially when i had to go to the corner and stick my head in the garbage can for a few moments (added to the nasuea). I hadnt even been drinking! I hid in the closet for the main part of our party that night....stacy went looking for me, opened up the door and immediately shut it....never been so sick in my life.

I sold my fourth row seat to the show that night and was about to take the train home so as not to ruin everyone elses time...till some guy (to this day i have NO idea who he is, or was but he was wearing a shirt that said "PHUCKING GONUTS") gave me a little 'something something' that calmed my stomach. I got my ticket back (which was really nice) and made it to the show....My first ABB show. I remember starting to feel like crap again during the show (weak in knees, sweaty, no energy, sick)...but then the best thing EVER happened....the music sorta took over and i felt like i got lifted out of my chair and havent been the same ever since. I belive it was "Southbound" that cured me.

anyway, i'm blaming the anchovies on my salad the night before we left.

LinnieX - 8/3/2004 at 05:24 PM

i was gonna put that in the 'Things i've done" thread...but somehow it didnt seem right...

Things i've done: Barfed all over the curb at the beacon.....

About 25 years ago,I learned you should never eat clams in the middle of a Jack Daniels binge.

LinnieX - 8/3/2004 at 05:51 PM

about two months ago i learned to never take a laxative and a sleeping pill on the same night.... (just kidding, copied that off the net)

KnownRider - 8/3/2004 at 06:11 PM

I ate a "magic cookie" at the Beacon. Did not affect me. Then again after hanging at the Sweeties party, I probably could not tell.

Are you sure that it was the music that lifted you and took you away, and that it wasn't the sumthin sumthin that you took kicking in

LinnieX - 8/3/2004 at 06:56 PM

nope! i was pretty sober corteZ! i actually felt something grab me out of the chair, and move my ass into a full tilt boogie. it was an odd experience. like i said, been hooked on the bros. ever since.
