ABB - Fillmore, Denver, 6/15/2002

Mornin' folks,

I've seen my share of ABB shows, but I'd have to say that last night took the crown, hands down. It was relentless, the band was obviously having a
really good time, they seemed to be amazing themselves with how good they were. Broken strings weren't gonna slow 'em down. Oteil doing some kind of bass tai chi at times. The 64 fender has a lot of mojo to it, and it really brought out he artist in him.

Set 1:

Trouble No More
Ain't Wastin' Time (This whole song was a long, beautiful bass solo. I
couldn't even focus on the guitar solos because Oteil was taking monster
leads AND locking in with Butch in a big way.)

Worried Down

Done Somebody Wrong

Old Before My Time

Rockin' Horse

Good Clean Fun

High Cost

Whipping Post (This was unbelievable- very intense. Derek breaks a string a
minute into his solo, his tech is trying to give him the SG, Derek waves him
off and keeps going on a long hard ride)

Set 2:

DWYNM/Cross To Bear

Statesboro

Woman Across The River

You Don't love Me (Sitting in on percussion was the same guy-Marc's cousin?
if I recall correctly- who played at Ogden last year.)

Firing Line

End Of The Line

I've Been Lovin' You

New Instrumental (Monstrous. This had the drums for the ages. They were
calling the tribes down from the mountains with this one. When Butch hit the
last crash he looked like he was thinking "Holy crap, did you hear what we just did?!" Jaimoe and Marc were excellent- Jaimoe in particular had a nice solo)

E: Revival

All in all, couldn't have had a better show.
