Only via the pre-sale. We were shut out of the general sale.

I was only able to get tickets through the presale - the general sale tickets were "unavailable" (sold-out?) at 10:00:01 and thereafter -- how could that be?!? But there were plenty of real good seats available on TicketsNow (owned by Ticketmaster) or in auctions directly through Ticketmaster. I have been buying tickets for Beacon shows on-line for years and have never seen this type of thing happen before. Either on-line demand is way up (possibly) or the number of tickets actually made available to the public for the on-line general sale is way down. It seems that the days of sitting in CC 102-104 at face value are over, but if you've got it I guess you can always pay a scalper. I would rather see the band get the money, though. I do not trust TicketMaster or Dolan (owner of newly-renovated Beacon).

I was shut out on the Peach Corp pre-sale. I was able to get a show through the American Express pre-sale. But the real joke was the general sale, where i got through 10 seconds after the tickets went on sale, but couldn't get tickets for the night i needed. What kind of nonsense was this? Were any tickets saved for the general public? Again, the real fans get shut out but the Stubhub scalpers have hundreds of tickets. Nice system.

I've never had a problem getting greats seats in past years. Not singles, I'm talking buying 2-4 orchestra or front mezz. seats for multiple shows. This year was different, however. I had a TM live operator on the phone immediately before the sale began so I had to be one of the first ones out of the gate when it went live at 10 a.m. I asked for 4 tix in front mezz for the 21st. In past years I would have snagged front row mezz getting on this quickly but, after initially telling me he did have 4 available in Row A, the operator did a mea culpa and told me they not only weren't available but, upon further review, there were NO bloc of 4 tickets available for the 21st, in either the front mexx or orchestra. I was flabbergasted. I lowered my request to a apir of seats. Again, nothing. Every year in the past and I'd be able to buy great seats for 3-4 shows thru a live operator. At the same time I was talking to the live operator I was online trying as well and again I was getting "no tickets available." This is within the first 1-2 minutes after the sale began. This year was a scam! I suspect that this year the Beacon's parent company (Cablevision) and TicketMaster were in collusion and withheld the majority of tickets available to the general public since now it could funnel tickets to TM's new Tickets Now site and other legalized scalping sites and rake in many more dollars selling these tickets for hugely inflated prices. Seeing ABB at the Beacon for many, many years now, part of me is secretely hoping there are empty seats this year so maybe the band will get the message that the Beacon adn TM screwed the fans! If this is the way it's going to be, I'd rather the band say screw the Beacon and play another venue in 2010 where they have more control over ticket availability.

It's really too bad that the real fans can't get tickets anymore. Everyone thought Pearl Jam was crazy for taking on Ticketbastard back in the '90's, but they knew what was up. The whole scalping thing is even more rediculous, and something really needs to be done about that. I hate to say it, but Congress perhaps?? The same thing happened a few weeks ago for the Phish shows, and i'm sure it will happen again when the other shows go on sale next week. I refuse to pay a scalper for a ticket that is outragously priced, but i guess most people still will, or they wouldn't be in business. What a shame. Duane is rolling over in his grave at this b.s. Ticketmaster owning their own scalping service...What a grand idea!! Unbelievable.

I couldn't get the general sale tickets, so I had to drink the koolaid and get them from a "broker" for the inflated prices. The owners of the Beacon advertise that they are keeping ticket prices low. This is simply not true. They are helping the scalpers get ALL the tickets and then helping them get $300-400 for a weekend ticket at their Tickets Now site. Then they get a cut from everybody. Thats not how the agreement with NYC was supposed to work MSG!

I was on Ticketmaster @ 10am...had a shot @ Orch. seats....screwed up my credit card info.......( MY fault! ).......three minutes later, the best tix available for that show, or any other I checked, were upper balc...........10 shows instead of 14 may have created a greater demand. Not playing last year, may have upped the demand as well. TicketsNow........I find it hard to believe the band sold their soul to these legal scalpers....As much as I can't wait to see the band at a remodeled Beacon, it would be great for more loyal fans to see these shows. These fans understand the difference between the Beacon shows and the summer tour. It's... NIGHT & DAY !!...That is the reason we go to multiple shows during the Beacon run, hang @ Yogi's, and stay @ the Beacon Hotel. Now that MSG is running the Beacon, they would do well to look at the past March runs the Allmans have had, and don't mess with a good thing.

Got 2 each for the fri. and sat. shows. back of orch. and lodge. This at 10;01 as soon as the amex pre-sale started. That was the best available at 1 min. after they went on sale. What a crock. But not as big a crock as the so-called general public sale. Anybody who wasted their time trying to get tickets then was a fool. They hold all those tickets for auction{which really means in house scalper i.e. cablevision}. The minute I heard Cabelvion bought the Beacon years ago I knew the place was going to quickly downhill. That one thing you can bank on with the Dolans; the biggest parasites this city has ever known

No luck through the fan base pre-sale. I am a member of this site, and signed up for alerts, but never got any word of the password necessary for the presale. Was able to get a few tics through the Amarican Express pre-sale (though it doesn't seem fair that if you don't have an AM EX card you have to wait). The general public sale was a joke this year. I was on the Tickermaster site at the moment tickets went up for sale. Nothing was available for any night that I tried! That is, of course, unless I wanted to take them up on their offer of choosing from the plethora of great seat tickets available through Tickets Now (a Ticketmaster company). As I recall the prices for these ranged from approx. $160.00 to a mere $2,400.00 each! I declined. I never had a problem obtaining face value, general public tickets for this run in the past. WHAT GIVES HERE??? I wonder if the Brothers are aware that many of their loyal fans will not be able to afford Beacon run tickets do to these practices.

On the 1st day of the pre-sale, I was driving home from Virginia after going to a Gregg Allman show! I tried the AMEX pre-sale and tickets I wanted were not available. I wanted the 19th, 20th, and 21st, Loge seats. None available. I figured if I was ready at 10:00am, I would get some tickets. The only thing I got in the General Sale was a pair of tickets for Mar. 17th, lower balcony right, row E. Now I have them up for sale on the Spare Tickets forum. I don't want to go that night. I bought tickets from vividseats.com and got Loge seats for the 20th. The tickets were double face value plus an eighty dollar fee per ticket plus $13 for Fed Ex.That just about does it for my ticket budget.

We always go to the Beacon for two nights , for the past 15 years . Stay at the Beacon Hotel Friday & Saturday night and and make a great weekend out of it every year . This crap with the Ticketmaster Now bull shit is unbelieveable ! We're able to get Friday night show tickets no problem , but Saturday night we're directed to Ticketmaster Now for three times the ticket price . Already booked the room ! It's ticket scalping / raping at it's finest ! They know your coming in to town for a few shows at least and it's bull shit ! Quinny

I hope the Allman Brothers follow suit & end this bullshit ! Quinny

I guess I was one of the more fortunate ones to not have to deal with the redirection to TicketBastard Now. I was able to score 3 shows all during presales. What amazes me, given the fact that The Brothers are always a huge draw wherever they go, can't they form their own ticketing service and not be at the mercy of these rape artists? Gov't Mule and Derek have their own ticketing, why not The Boys? For these 3 shows, why must there an extra $136 in fees for 8 tickets? And we're not even talking about the rise in ticket prices because the Dolans fixed up The Beacon. I've longed despised TicketBastard. The band needs to do something about this.

1st pre-sale yup, good one to, price no concern. This is a once (maybe twice a year event) Tried during general, but w/ no success. I ended up getting thru 1 week into general. Orch, row A. I pulled the trigga. The next day I looked at the seat and it was disabled seating. Bummed, I called & got credited. Ya- Added shows. So presale II - got thru again w/ some nice seat to last show of run. Very happy!!

We have been going to NYC to see the ABB for 15 years. Just like other posts, I was on Tickmaster.com at 10am and got nothing for the dates we were looking for. I got on the phone and a rep found me a pair for 3/17 - the only date with availability as of 10:05am. Turns out can't go to that show so I am looking for a swap on the Ticket Exchange but the whole process seems a bit flawed. Never had problems before but this year was an exception.

ABSO-FRIGGIN-LUTELY being scammed by cablevision !! In over 25 years of seeing and loving the band live, many of those at The Beacon, I've NEVER been shut out of tickets the way I've been shut out the past couple of years, excluding last year of course, since Cablevision took over The Beacon Theater. Used to be able to purchase 6 tickets at a time to any show AND GET THEM. The ABB should take notice of what Pearl Jam does for their fans with their Mail Order Ticket Purchase Program. No Convenience fees, facility fees NO BS!! This enables the band to charge substantially less for tickets, ensures that only the true fans who are registered with the fan club get the tickets for any show they want and get the best seats in the house - the longer you're in the fan club the better the seats. Any tickets left after the mail order date then go on sale to the general public - cudos to Pearl Jam. I used to go to about 90% of the shows during the Beacon run now I'm lucky if it's 10% but still think the band is the greatest - LONG LIVE THE ABB

I was on-line seconds into the Peach Corps presale, but was unable to get the tickets wanted -- for any show. At least my wife and I are in the house March 13 and 14, and I refuse to pay scalpers or non-fans on StubHub. Going to the Beacon is now much like going to a major sporting event -- real fans need not apply.

No problem at all with Peach Corps Pre-sale. Couldn't get a Saturday night, but I didn't think I would anyway. Settled for 3/12, lower balcony, center. Buddy Guy and the Phish guys. Outstanding show and a fantastic run...so far. Just got tickets for 5/24 in Vegas through presale - no problems either. The road goes on forever !!!

Was on the computer immediately at the time the pre-sale began. First few attempts said there were no tickets that matched my order or best seats and any price. Finally on my third attempt I was able to get Row S. No question someone is taking huge blocks of seats to scalp at a later date. I've kind of resolved myself that if I am ever going to get really good seats for a concert I am going to have to pay through the nose. The world we live in!

Yes, I was able to get tickets via Amex pre-sale, but I was into the system at 10.00am plus one second and the best I could get for my date of choice was the last row of the Loge just inside the door. When I checked other nights, there was nothing left. HOWEVER, by 10.02am there were tickets availabe on TicketsNow at four, five and six times the face value. I'm very suspicious of that and believe that Ticketmaster did not ever sell those tickets, but simply re-directed them to the TicketsNow division, in effect fraudulently elevating the price of the ticket. It's the ABB, so I'd go no matter what the seats. The Beacon is a small theatre, so the ability to see was not an issue. The trouble is the low ceiling in rear Loge - I heard more of the crowd noise than the band. I was hoping the renovations to the theatre would have corrected that scenario, but no luck. I'll try again next year. Thanks!
