I was there too
an excellent concert and i also remember thinking Cactus was good
but it was in fact at the Central Theatre NOT the Capitol. The Capitol was not far away in Passaic but i’m not even sure as of that date if John Scher had started putting on concerts at the Capitol
I actually still have the flyer for this concert put away somewhere
I attended the early show on this date. Cactus opened and the ABB were VERY late. Cactus was quite good and I remember thinking Bogert was a monster bassist – until Berry stepped out.
It was my first ABB show and I was recommended to it by a friend who had seen them in Central Park in NYC earlier that summer. Lucky I was to get to see them w/ Duane and Berry that night (and w/ Berry a couple more times the following year – Academy of Music and Gaelic Park)
THE NAME OF THE VENUE WAS CAPITOL THEATRE – NOT CENTRAL THEATRE.
We tried to hide out to stay for the late show, but we got busted and ejected.
