After submission of earlier entry, I remember the Elvin Bishop Band having some horns, but do not recall the ABB having a horn section.
This is one of the greatest shows I ever attended. I had a great seat within the first 5 rows. Elvin Bishop’s set kicked ass. The the ABB played an amazing set. I do not remember horns, but do remember what appeared to be the stage hands setting up recording devices on the side of the stage. Johnny Winter and Rick Derringer watched some of the show from the side, and as the crowd, enjoyed the great performance, especially by Duane. Winter was the headliner, and was at his best. I remember riding the subway home, as many folks were going to work!! All three bands amped it up, and it took days for my ears to stop ringing.
Opening night from what came to be an amazing live album!
